Welcome To ADAPT

LTC IntroA coalition of people who care about reducing underage drinking and drug abuse in Essex County.  Our members include youth, parents, educators, police, substance abuse professionals, faith-based and government representatives, and other concerned citizens.

Why ADAPT? Because throughout Essex County…

  • 90% of teens interviewed stated that alcohol is easily accessible in their area
  • More teens are reporting getting access to prescription medication that is not prescribed to them through unlocked medicine cabinets
  • Middle school and high school students are using e-cigarettes and vape pens

Unfortunately, it is also a time when there is a rise of underage drinking and alcohol-related accidents at Super Bowl related events.

ADAPT would like to take a moment to give community members some tips to help prevent underage drinking and keep our children and communities safe while you enjoy the Super Bowl. Check out the tips and share it with your neighbors, friends, family members, etc.
