ADAPT Announcements:

• SAVE THE DATE! Culture Connections’ Second Annual Culture Counts Conference will take place on Friday May 16, 2014 from 8am-3:30pm.– CEUs!!!! (FREE for staff of DMHAS funded mental health agencies)

Local Programs/Events:

• Every Wednesday starting April 16th from 4-5:30 pm- Outreach to At Risk Youth (OTARY) will be hosting a positive adolescent/young adult boys group ”Welcome to Manhood” – See “OTARY Boys Group” for more information.

• The OTARY photography group for girls ages 13-17 will begin this Thursday May 1, 2014 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Iron Works Studio in Orange. Contact Fayon Witche (862-926-9621) for more information.
• Saturday May 3, 2014 from 9 am to 4 pm- Seton Hall University’s Alpha Phi Omega Sorority will be hosting its 5th annual dress drive.- See “Dress Drive” for more information.
• Sunday May 4, 2014 from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm- NJ AIDS Walk- to join the Newark Community Health Centers Inc. team click here.
• Saturday May 24 and May 31st from 9 am to 3:30 pm- Essex County Latino-American Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a 6 Step Seminar being held at NJIT.-See “Chamber” for more information.
• Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm- Family Support Organization of Essex County is requesting your attendance for the “Breaking School to Prison Pipeline” Symposium.- See “Symposium” for more information.
